From Dream to Reality

Sunset Shores began with a simple dream: to create a place where the magic of Hawaii could be experienced through food. Chef Keoni Nakamura, after years of training on the mainland and abroad, returned home with a mission to honor the flavors of his childhood while pushing culinary boundaries.

What started as a small 40-seat restaurant has grown into one of Honolulu's most beloved dining destinations. But our commitment remains the same, serving exceptional food made with love, locally-sourced ingredients, and the true spirit of aloha.

Today, we're proud to have served over 500,000 guests and to be recognized as one of Hawaii's premier dining experiences. Yet every night, we approach service with the same passion and dedication as day one.

Maria brings 15 years of pastry expertise to Sunset Shores. Her creations honor Hawaiian ingredients like lilikoi, haupia, and macadamia nuts while pushing creative boundaries.
